Relaxing holiday by the shores of Lake Puruvesi
The Ruoke Holiday Village campsite is located in a stunning location in Kitee Kesälahti, on the shores of the clear-water Puruvesi Lake in North Karelia. The area offers an excellent setting for a relaxing holiday for caravanners, campers and other tourists. The campsite has a total of 85 tourist pitches, some of which are used by seasonal visitors.
All service buildings and services are available to customers, and they guarantee a smooth holiday. The area has shower and toilet facilities, kitchen and dining areas and laundry facilities. The large barbecue shelter on the beach offers a comfortable place to get together even for a larger group.
Services also include the sale of LPG and basic foodstuffs, a library and free WLAN throughout the area. For relaxation, you can rent a sauna for your own use – options include an electrically heated sauna, wooden saunas and an atmospheric smoke sauna.
You can also come to the area for a day visit without accommodation. The day visit fee is €5 per family and includes use of the toilet and shower facilities and barbecue areas. Day visitors are asked to leave the area by 10 pm.
Guest harbour
The Ruoke Holiday Village guest marina offers boaters a functional and comfortable setting on the shores of Lake Puruvesi. The harbor’s electricity and water points, as well as the resort’s other services, are available to boaters, making their stay easy and comfortable.
There is a possibility to empty the septic tank in the area, and overnight stays in the harbor cost 8 euros per day. Electricity is available for an additional fee of 5 euros per day. Buoy berths 3–7 are located next to the breakwater, and berths 8 and 9 are reserved for visitor use.

Puruvesi autumn fishing 5–6 September 2026
The Puruvesi Autumn Swivel Fishing Competition brings together fishing enthusiasts once again to enjoy the autumnal competitive atmosphere in the stunning lake scenery. The event is held in Puruvesi, and the competition center is Ruoke Holiday Village.
The competition is organized by Karjalan Kalamiehet ry, and the event offers a great opportunity to test your skills and spend time with like-minded fishermen.

Welcome to enjoy the atmosphere of Finnish music when Maarit Hurmerinta Duo comes to perform! Maarit’s long and successful career as an artist began in 1972, and over the years she has become one of the most respected interpreters of Finnish music.
Maarit and Sami Hurmerinta form a strong and warm-hearted duo, whose performance is full of genuine love for music. During the evening, well-known songs from over the years will be heard, such as Jäätelökesä and Toiset tytöt, toiset pojat, as well as other beloved tunes.

Puruvesi Salmon King 2026 – 27–28 June 2026
The legendary Puruvesi Salmon King competition will be held again on 27-28.6.2026! First organized in 1983, the competition brings together fishing enthusiasts for the 42nd time for a traditional rowing-trolling competition.
The starting points of the competition are Ruoke Holiday Village (competition center) and Mäntyranta camping area. Registration is open – come and experience one of the most anticipated events of the summer!
On Saturday evening, the atmosphere continues with the Ruokke competition dances, featuring Telemark Kollektiivi.
